The Huron Humane Society, Inc. (HHS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for the homeless dogs and cats of Alpena County. We are a no-kill sanctuary working to heal and rehabilitate the adoptable dogs and cats that come through our doors.

The Huron Humane Society relies on private donations to keep our doors open.

We are contracted with the City of Alpena to provide services.

The Huron Humane Society actively seeks partnerships with other like-minded organizations to accomplish our mutual goals. HHS is proud to be affiliated with the Bissell Pet Foundation, which works to help reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues, by assisting shelters in finding a loving home for every pet.
